About the Information System Security Officer Position

Tactibit Technologies LLC is seeking a highly skilled cybersecurity professional to join our team in a dynamic and challenging role. As an Information System Security Officer, you will play a critical part in ensuring the security and integrity of our clients' information systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Security Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive security documentation, including System Security Plans and Contingency Plans, to ensure the security posture of our clients' information systems.
  • Security Planning and Management: Plan, manage, and oversee Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms) to ensure the effective implementation of security controls and mitigation of risks.
  • Security Coordination: Coordinate security efforts and improvements with stakeholders, including system administrators and operations teams, to ensure seamless integration and effective security posture.
  • Vulnerability Management: Monitor and oversee vulnerability management programs, including vulnerability scanning, timely patch management, and reporting, to ensure the security and integrity of our clients' information systems.
  • Security Assessment: Coordinate security assessment efforts, including Security Controls Assessments (SCAs), penetration testing, and risk assessments, to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Security Advisory: Serve as a principal staff advisor to the System Owner (SO) on all matters involving the security of the information system, providing expert guidance and recommendations to ensure the security and integrity of our clients' information systems.
  • System Assessment and Authorization: Plan, manage, and coordinate annual system assessment and authorization activities, including continuous monitoring, to ensure the security and integrity of our clients' information systems.
  • Incident Response: Coordinate incident response, continuity of operations, and similar activities to ensure the security and integrity of our clients' information systems.
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Create and maintain documents, including Standard Operating Procedures, to ensure the effective implementation of security controls and mitigation of risks.
Requirements
  • Cybersecurity Experience: 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong understanding of security concepts and principles.
  • Certifications: CISSP or equivalent certification, with a strong understanding of security frameworks and standards.
  • Government Experience: Experience working in Federal government environments, with a strong understanding of NIST Risk Management Framework, NIST SP security controls, and DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions.
  • Education: BS degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or other related area.
  • Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen and eligible to obtain a security clearance.
Desired Qualifications
  • Information System Security Officer Experience: Prior experience functioning as an Information System Security Officer on federal government systems.
  • Issue Tracking and Configuration Management: Experience with issue tracking and configuration management systems and processes.
  • Industry Certifications: Additional industry certifications, such as GIAC certifications, Security+, and others.
  • Vulnerability Management Tools: Experience with vulnerability management tools, including Tenable Nessus.
  • Continuous Monitoring and Log Management: Experience with continuous monitoring and log management tools, including ArcSight, BigFix, ePolicy Orchestrator, and similar tools.
  • Security Clearance: Active Secret security clearance.
