Our client, a reputable family-owned enterprise with a legacy of over 70 years in asphalt pavement production and construction, is seeking to appoint a Project Coordinator for their Anacortes/Bellingham Division.

Position Overview:

We are in search of a full-time, exempt Project Coordinator based in Anacortes, who possesses proficiency in estimating and overseeing municipal and heavy highway construction initiatives, both as a primary contractor and subcontractor.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or equivalent technical training and/or experience.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in asphalt paving or the construction industry focusing on estimating and project management.
  • Strong mathematical and computer skills.
  • Community leadership and involvement are advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel locally as required.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening (including marijuana) and maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • This is a full-time, in-office role.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish and nurture productive client relationships throughout the construction lifecycle, from bidding to project completion.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for asphalt paving construction projects for both private and public sectors.
  • Collaborate closely with contractors, state and local municipalities, inspectors, and clients.
  • Actively engage in local government and community initiatives.
  • Be prepared for occasional long hours, night shifts, local travel, and weekend work.

  • Champion safety in all aspects of project bidding, planning, and execution.
  • Exhibit strong leadership, problem-solving, issue resolution, decision-making, and organizational capabilities.
  • Be a self-motivated individual with effective time management skills.
  • Possess expertise in analyzing specifications, proposals, plans, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for asphalt paving projects.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with clients and team members.
  • Continuously strive to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Have a passion for sales and relationship development.
  • Demonstrate a proven history of delivering thorough, precise, and timely estimates for both public and private sector projects, including bid document preparation and clear written proposals and correspondence.

Wage & Benefit Information:
Salary Range: $85,000 to $125,000, typically starting between $85,000 to $100,000 based on experience, education, qualifications, and location.


A comprehensive benefits package is available for full-time employees, including medical with prescription coverage, HSA/FSA, dental, vision reimbursement, Life/AD&D, LTD, 401k (with employer matching and discretionary Company Profit Sharing contributions), 128 hours of PTO, extended illness time, EAP, wellness program, and seven paid holidays.
