Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Financial Navigator to join our team. As a Patient Financial Navigator, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our patients receive seamless and efficient financial care. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor and collect financial responsibilities from our patients, ensuring that their insurance benefits are up-to-date and accurate.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and collect financial responsibilities from patients
  • Keep patients' insurance benefits up-to-date in OncoEMR and Centricity
  • View patients' services for diagnosis and insurance coverage appropriateness
  • Perform daily tasks of Managed Care and Patient Financial Navigator
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience working in a healthcare field, preferably in a clinical setting or business office
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Insurance knowledge requirements including:
    • Understanding of medical terminology
    • Managed care authorization process
    • ICD9 and CPT codes
    • Collection experience
    • Ability to calculate and collect patients' responsibility and insurance co-pay/coinsurance
