About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Financial Navigator to join our team at Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute. As a Patient Financial Navigator, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care while also navigating the complexities of insurance and financial responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and collect patient financial responsibilities
  • Keep patients' insurance benefits up to date in OncoEMR and Centricity
  • View patients' services for diagnosis and insurance coverage appropriateness
  • Perform daily tasks of Managed Care and Patient Financial Navigator
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience working in a healthcare field, preferably in a clinical setting or business office
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Insurance knowledge requirements including:
    • Understanding of medical terminology
    • Managed care authorization process
    • ICD9 and CPT codes
    • Collection experience
    • Ability to calculate and collect patients' responsibility and insurance co-pay/coinsurance
