Patient Financial Solutions Specialist

Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Patient Financial Solutions Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in connecting uninsured hospital patients to programs that cover their medical expenses.
Key Responsibilities- Follow up on Medicaid applications submitted to the Department of Children and Families, working closely with the State agency and patients to secure Medicaid approvals.
- Provide detailed, accurate, and timely documentation in applicable Company programs and hospital systems on all cases worked.
- Offer exceptional customer service skills, ensuring a positive experience for patients and hospital staff.
- Participate in ongoing trainings to apply learned content in dealings with patients and cases.
- Maintain assigned work queue of patient accounts, collaborating with hospital staff, case managers, social workers, and financial counselors.
- Answer incoming telephone calls, make outbound calls, and track paperwork necessary to submit enrollment and renewal for prospective Medicaid patients.
- Maintain structured and timely contact with applicants and responsible government agencies, via phone or daily work queue.
- Assist applicants with gathering additional reports or records, meeting appointment dates and times, and requesting home visits as needed.
- Inform clients in a timely manner of all approvals and denials of coverage.
- Participate in additional training requirements to stay up-to-date on changing rules and regulations associated with governmental programs.
- Professional experience working with State and/or Federal programs is essential.
- Some college coursework is preferred.
- Prior hospital experience is a plus.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- The successful candidate must speak, read, and write both Spanish and English fluently, with Creole being a plus.
- Adaptability when dealing with constantly changing processes and computer systems is crucial.
- Ability to maneuver throughout the hospital and patients' rooms.
- Proficient experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel and Outlook.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written, to interact with a variety of individuals.
- Ability to multitask and function in a fast-paced environment.
