Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our team at Visit Orlando. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sales initiatives to recruit new members, advertising, and sponsorships programs to organizations in the tourism industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement short and long-term strategies to recruit new members and achieve membership goals.
  • Solicit organizations through appropriate channels to sell advertising and other marketing opportunities, focusing on assigned advertising account base.
  • Identify and qualify new member prospects and develop appropriate recruitment strategies.
  • Develop monthly, quarterly, and/or annual sales plans and budgets, tracking sales trends, budgets, and plans to analyze results and report to the Director of Sales.
  • Facilitate potential new member events with key staff in attendance and participate in key member and industry events to enhance relationships, increase awareness, and generate leads.
  • Develop lead generation through review of sales reports and industry resources, with a primary focus on identified vital sales territories and growing market share.
  • Utilize SimpleView as a primary tool in organization, maintenance, and measurement of prospects and members.
  • Work collaboratively with the Member Relations team to hand-off recruited new members and support the sales of member events and programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field of study.
  • Previous membership and advertising sales experience is preferred, with a minimum of 6 years of professional experience in corporate relationship management and new business development, B2B sales, and revenue generation.
  • Track record of successful business development, sales, and revenue-generation.
  • Ability to generate leads independently and build relationships at all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in a large, complex organization and exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work within a team and manage and prioritize multiple projects and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
