Position Overview:
The Alternatives organization is seeking a dedicated Case Manager to join our team in providing essential support to families in transitional housing. This role is pivotal in fostering a nurturing environment for homeless women and their children, helping them to achieve stability and self-sufficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Case Manager, you will:
  • Assist clients in establishing and pursuing personal goals related to self-sufficiency, parenting skills, and securing permanent housing.
  • Deliver on-site support and services, focusing on areas such as financial management, daily living skills, and work readiness.
  • Facilitate transportation for clients to meet community needs, including childcare and grocery shopping.
  • Utilize an electronic health record (EHR) system to document client progress with clear and concise notes.
  • Engage in ongoing training to enhance your skills and meet agency requirements.

Desired Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A high school diploma is required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Experience working with homeless populations is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and counseling skills, with a compassionate and reliable demeanor.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • The ability to pass all necessary background checks and agency-specific training.

Training Requirements:
All staff members are required to complete a series of trainings upon hiring, which will continue throughout employment. These trainings will be a mix of in-person and remote sessions, ensuring comprehensive skill development.
