Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team at Actalent. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced outpatient clinic setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Assist with patient intake, vital signs, and medical history documentation.
  • Phone Triage: Handle patient calls, respond to medical questions, and coordinate test results and medication refills.
  • Administrative Support: Manage patient charts, schedule appointments, and perform office charge entry.
  • Procedure Support: Assist providers with procedures and prepare for patient visits.
Requirements
  • Certification: Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
  • Education: Successful completion of a Medical Assistant training program and a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience as a CMA, preferably in a pain clinic setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree: Associate's degree in Medical Assisting.
  • Experience with Cerner: Experience with electronic medical records system Cerner.
Work Environment

This is a fully on-site position in a brand new physical clinic with a temperature-controlled environment and easy access to parking. The team consists of 2 providers, 2 other Medical Assistants, and 1 LPN. The clinic has 7 rooms.

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7am-3:30pm, with adjustments on Wednesday and Thursday to 8am-4pm.

The salary range is $18.86-$24 per hour, based on experience.
