Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at Stantec. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing structural systems for a variety of projects, including buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement structural design solutions for projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and identify potential issues.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure continued professional growth and development.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a strong background in design and project management.
  • Professional Engineering license, with a focus on structural engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of structural systems, materials, and construction methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with industry-standard software, including Autodesk Revit and CSI.
  • Strong understanding of business operations and financial management.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, with occasional overnight stays.
