Your Role
Stantec is looking for a Principal Civil Engineer to enhance our multi-disciplinary engineering team. This role involves:
- Analyzing client and stakeholder needs to devise effective solutions.
- Collaborating with diverse teams to influence the future of infrastructure management.
- Leading civil engineering projects focused on flood risk management and infrastructure development.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) overseeing civil engineering designs for large-scale federal projects.
- Guide the design team in producing studies, drawings, and specifications.
- Review and validate engineering designs for accuracy and compliance with best practices.
- Represent the company in client meetings, addressing technical inquiries and ensuring project objectives are met.
- Manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules while fostering collaboration among team members.
Qualifications
To be successful in this position, you should possess:
- A comprehensive understanding of federal project requirements and strong relationships with regulatory agencies.
- Knowledge of California's policies and technical conditions.
- Proven project management and design management skills.
- Experience in engaging with local, state, and federal agency personnel.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Education and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification in California.
- A minimum of 20 years of relevant experience in federal planning, design, and construction processes.
Work Environment
