Community Inclusion Specialist

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Community Inclusion Specialists (CIS) to join our team in providing exceptional support to adults with developmental disabilities and/or autism. As a CIS, you will play a vital role in helping individuals achieve their personal goals and enhance their quality of life.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized guidance and supervision to participants during community outings, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Assist with daily living activities as needed, promoting independence and self-sufficiency.
  • Implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and behavior plans, tailoring interventions to meet individual needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of participant progress and activities, documenting observations and outcomes effectively.
  • Facilitate meaningful community engagement by arranging and accompanying participants in a variety of activities, such as cultural events, social gatherings, recreational pursuits, job exploration, and volunteer opportunities.
  • Utilize public transportation or personal vehicles to transport participants safely and efficiently.
  • Respond to basic first aid needs when necessary, ensuring the safety and well-being of participants.
Qualifications:
  • One year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is required.
  • A High School Diploma or GED is essential; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Possess strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to person-centered care and support individual autonomy.
  • Have basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and a clean driving record.
