Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support with daily tasks such as meal preparation, personal care, and household management.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere that encourages independence and personal development.
- Assist clients in engaging in community activities, recreational outings, and social gatherings.
- Keep precise records of client progress and daily interactions.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of care.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is necessary; relevant coursework or at least 6 months of experience in a group home or similar environment is preferred.
- OIS Certification IS MANDATORY
- CPR/First Aid Certification for Adults & Children or a commitment to obtain this certification before starting.
- Completion of Workday DSP Core Competencies Tier 1 & Tier 2 or a willingness to achieve this certification prior to employment.
- Compassionate and patient, with a sincere commitment to assisting others.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to evolving situations and manage challenging behaviors with empathy and professionalism.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if applicable for the role).
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
