Role Overview

As a Hydraulic Systems Engineer, you will focus on designing, constructing, and commissioning fluid power systems for various projects. Your collaboration with the sales team will be crucial in ensuring customer satisfaction and project success through innovative engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day activities will include:
  • Designing and building fluid power systems in partnership with the sales team to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Creating hydraulic schematics, mechanical assembly layouts, and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Establishing manufacturing standards and implementing programs for fluid power projects.
  • Providing technical training and support to technicians regarding component application and assembly.
  • Assisting project planners and contributing to qualification and testing procedures.
  • Troubleshooting and revising designs, conducting pilot runs, and overseeing customer acceptance testing.
  • Offering start-up assistance to clients for equipment and validating system designs.
  • Innovating solutions to overcome sales obstacles while maintaining technical expertise through training.

Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required. Professional Engineer (PE) certification is advantageous.

Experience:
A minimum of three to five years of experience in Fluid Power, including knowledge of pumps, valves, filters, and actuators.

Skills:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and industry standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to take ownership of complex technical support issues.
