Climate Control Specialist

Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the temporary deactivation of the facility's HVAC systems and electrical components for renovation, repair, and new construction initiatives.
- Design, construct, install, and dismantle various HVAC equipment and systems within the facility.
- Identify and troubleshoot malfunctions in HVAC systems and components, implementing necessary corrective and preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all HVAC equipment and systems within the facility.
- Oversee the inventory of replacement electrical equipment and systems.
- Utilize the hospital's computerized maintenance management system by accurately completing work orders and documenting equipment history.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections on all HVAC and refrigeration systems in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure quality control for new installations or replacements of HVAC and refrigeration systems conducted by external parties.
- Respond to urgent situations such as electrical failures, HVAC breakdowns, ruptured pipes, fires, or other emergencies as outlined in hospital and departmental emergency response protocols.
- HVAC or maintenance certification (EPA Refrigerant Recovery) is required.
- An associate degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the HVAC field is required.
- 3 years of experience in hospital maintenance, construction, or mechanical systems is preferred.
