About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Framing Specialist at Michaels. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, creating memorable framing solutions, and maintaining a safe and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service
    • Provide courteous and helpful service to customers, assisting them in finding products and offering solutions.
    • Ensure a positive shopping experience by maintaining a clean and clutter-free store environment.
  • Framing and Encasement
    • Operate framing equipment and glass cutters to create high-quality framing solutions.
    • Collaborate with customers to design and create custom framing solutions.
  • Store Operations
    • Follow established procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Participate in inventory management, restocking, and visual merchandising to maintain a well-organized store.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work effectively with colleagues to achieve sales and production goals.
    • Support colleagues in maintaining a positive and respectful work environment.

Requirements

  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Basic Measuring Skills
  • Ability to Operate Framing Equipment and Glass Cutters
  • Basic Retail Experience
  • Ability to Lift Heavy Boxes and Frames

Work Environment

Our store is a public retail setting with a climate-controlled environment. Some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled, and occasional outdoor work may be required. The frame shop contains glass cutters and heat presses. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
