Compensation: $14 – $15.05/hour on W2

Work Schedule: 2nd Shift, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday to Friday


Role Summary:

The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all products meet stringent quality standards and customer specifications. This role involves:

  • Conducting thorough inspections of products to guarantee compliance with quality benchmarks.
  • Rewinding and preparing products according to specified guidelines and internal protocols.
  • Performing visual checks on labels to identify any defects.
  • Collaborating with supervisors to make informed decisions regarding quality issues.
  • Setting up and operating multiple slitting units for product processing.
  • Managing product segregation to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Maintaining adequate inventory levels of rewind materials and replenishing as necessary.
  • Adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Operating the Label Vision System and ensuring proper setup and functionality.
  • Executing roll splicing according to customer requirements.
  • Conducting routine maintenance on rewind equipment following preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Setting up and managing back numbering equipment as per procedures.
  • Assisting with additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Two months of relevant experience or training.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and safety protocols.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including proficiency with fractions, ratios, and measurements.
  • Good color perception and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Commitment to maintaining excellent attendance.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required during peak periods.
  • Flexibility to adjust work schedules as needed to meet production demands.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Must pass color vision and hue assessments.
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
