Position Overview

As a Service Engineer for Advanced Systems, you will play a crucial role within a team dedicated to supporting our Customer Support (CS) division. Your primary responsibility will be to install, troubleshoot, and maintain ASML systems at various client locations.

Your expertise will ensure the optimal performance of our cutting-edge chipmaking systems, contributing to the technological advancements that drive global progress.

In this role, you will collaborate with colleagues, customers, and field support teams to identify and resolve issues, thereby enhancing equipment functionality and preventing future complications.

You will serve as a knowledgeable resource for users experiencing routine malfunctions and will facilitate the transfer of essential skills and knowledge to our clients.

This position reports to the Site Manager and is part of the broader Customer Solutions & Support sector, where the installation and optimization of ASML products take place.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install equipment at client sites, including new feature implementations, ensuring proper unloading, inspection, assembly, alignment, and testing.
  • Assess the applicability and compliance of installations with design specifications.
  • Diagnose and evaluate issues, executing repairs as necessary and escalating complex problems when required.
  • Provide professional assistance to customers, addressing inquiries and advising on corrective actions for malfunctions.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including work orders, field service reports, and technical documentation.
  • Mentor and support less experienced ASML personnel as needed.
Qualifications

To effectively address the technical challenges in this role, you should possess experience with high-tech products and complex operational processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in the installation, qualification, repair, and maintenance of ASML systems at client locations is preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including data analysis tools and standard office software, is preferred.

Additional Information

This position may require travel up to 10% and access to client site locations. Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is essential. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development is necessary.

Work will primarily occur at client sites, necessitating adherence to their rules and safety policies. Expect to spend significant time in cleanroom environments working with electromechanical equipment.

Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to sit, walk, talk, hear, and use hands for various tasks. Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds may be necessary, along with specific vision capabilities such as close vision and depth perception.
