Job Title: Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer

Job Overview

As a Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the comprehensive analysis and engineering design of mechanical systems for various construction projects. This position requires you to deliver mechanical design and consulting services, while actively developing design concepts in collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams utilizing AutoCAD and REVIT.
Key Responsibilities

• Engage in marketing efforts for prospective projects and actively pursue opportunities with both new and existing clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.

• Participate in project interviews and conduct thorough field surveys for both new and proposed initiatives.

• Demonstrate a deep understanding of client operations and maintain strong relationships among owners, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to safeguard client interests.

• Execute design calculations and conduct extensive code research.

• Collaborate with clients to discuss design concepts and prepare detailed specifications for system designs.

• Work alongside engineers from various disciplines to create comprehensive drawings using computer-aided design software.

• Provide mentorship and support to junior engineers and designers.

• Adhere to project schedules and meet critical deadlines.

• Generate cost estimates for assigned systems.

• Maintain clear communication and coordination with team members while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

• Cross-reference design drawings with meeting notes to ensure accuracy.

• Develop schematic, design development, and construction documentation.

• Conduct site visits to perform job site observations and ensure compliance with design specifications.

• Review documents for precision, ensuring coordination with mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural teams.

• Oversee shop drawing reviews and manage construction administration tasks.

• Address and troubleshoot issues, communicating effectively with relevant parties.

• Uphold CAD, Revit, and engineering standards while staying informed about advancements in technology and industry trends.

• Lead quality control reviews and contribute as a proactive team member, fostering an environment of leadership development.

• Flexibility to attend meetings outside of standard working hours may be required.

• Proficient in operating computers and various office and engineering tools.

Qualifications
A Bachelor of Science in Engineering is preferred, though not mandatory. A Professional Engineer (PE) License is also preferred but not required. Candidates should possess 4-8 years of progressively responsible experience in a related field.
