We value a friendly and outgoing personality, with a genuine commitment to teamwork and service. While prior optical experience is not mandatory, candidates should possess at least one year of sales experience, demonstrate the ability to multitask, and show enthusiasm for learning.
Work Schedule: Our office operates Monday through Saturday, with mandatory availability on Saturdays.
Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience, ranging from $13.00 to $18.00 per hour.
General Function:
The primary role of the Optical Sales Specialist is to attract and retain patients by delivering an exceptional experience, enhancing patient loyalty, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction among our doctors.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Drive store sales by cultivating a retail selling culture through effective sales techniques.
- Build professional relationships with colleagues and healthcare providers.
- Interpret ophthalmic prescriptions and assist in selecting appropriate lenses and frames based on patient needs.
- Provide accurate pricing and realistic delivery timelines to ensure a quality patient experience.
- Guide patients regarding Managed Vision Care options.
- Assist in maintaining store presentation according to company standards.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Store Manager.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Proven sales skills and accountability for achieving sales results.
- Experience in a retail or customer service environment.
- Ability to devise and implement creative solutions to enhance business growth.
- Strong communication skills to meet and exceed patient expectations.
- Foster positive relationships with associates and healthcare providers.
- Attention to detail and effective follow-up.
- Ability to prioritize tasks with adaptability and flexibility.
- Willingness to take calculated risks.
- Familiarity with personal computers is preferred.
Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with 1-2 years of experience in a retail setting. A minimum of one year in optical sales is preferred.
The successful candidate must meet the qualifications outlined above to perform the essential functions of this position effectively.
