Machining/Millwright Faculty Position

This Letter of Appointment (LOA) signifies a temporary, full-time role. Assignments are made on a semester basis and depend on factors such as student enrollment, funding availability, and ongoing satisfactory performance.
Faculty schedules may vary each semester, and candidates might be required to instruct during evenings, weekends, summers, or through online and hybrid formats.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Instruct freshmen and sophomore courses in Machining and Millwright.
- Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to student learning, the integration of technology in the curriculum, and fostering engaged scholarship.
- Deliver classes according to approved syllabi, outlines, and instructional materials.
- Maintain precise student records in accordance with institutional requirements.
- Submit necessary student reports to the appropriate office as per the schedule.
- Guide, evaluate, and assess student learning experiences following established curricula and procedures.
- Provide support and guidance to students as needed.
- All faculty members are expected to be present on campus for 35 hours weekly and engage in professional development, departmental activities, and college events.
- Faculty may also be tasked with teaching evening, weekend, summer, online, hybrid, and dual credit courses across various campuses.
- Engage in campus-related committees as required.
- Promote and recruit for the Machining and Millwright program.
- Participate in professional development activities, both on-campus and externally.
- Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
- Meet one of the following criteria:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) with five years of relevant work experience.
- Associate's degree (or higher) with five years of relevant experience.
- No degree with ten years of relevant work experience, with the ability to obtain an Associate's degree within two years without class overloads.
- No degree with twenty years of relevant work experience.
- CMEF certification is required within one semester of hire for teaching designated sections.
- Experience in online teaching and relevant certification.
- Familiarity with Blackboard Learning Management System.
