Position Overview
This Letter of Appointment (LOA) represents a temporary, full-time faculty role. Responsibilities are assigned on a semester basis and depend on factors such as student enrollment, funding availability, and satisfactory performance.
Faculty schedules may vary each semester, and instructors may be required to teach during evenings, weekends, summers, online, hybrid, or through distance education formats.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver instruction for introductory and intermediate Logistics courses.
- Demonstrate a commitment to student engagement, technology integration in teaching, and fostering an interactive learning environment.
- Adhere to approved syllabi and instructional materials for all assigned courses.
- Maintain accurate student records in accordance with institutional requirements.
- Submit necessary student documentation to the appropriate office in a timely manner.
- Guide and assess student learning experiences following established curricula and procedures.
- Provide academic support and guidance to students as needed.
All faculty members are expected to be present on campus for 35 hours weekly and engage in professional development, departmental activities, and college events as outlined in the Faculty Workload and Responsibilities Policy.
Instructors may also be required to teach at various campuses during evenings, weekends, summers, and through dual credit programs.
Additional Responsibilities
- Engage in campus committees as necessary.
- Promote and recruit for the Logistics program.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities, both on-campus and externally.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in a relevant field.
- A minimum of three years of related, non-teaching experience in Logistics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with online teaching and relevant certifications.
- Familiarity with Blackboard Learning Management System.
