Division: Provost/Academic & Student Affairs

Position Overview:

This Letter of Appointment (LOA) represents a temporary, full-time role. Assignments are made on a semester basis and depend on factors such as student enrollment, funding availability, and satisfactory performance.

Faculty schedules may vary each semester, and instructors may be required to teach during evenings, weekends, summers, online, hybrid, or through distance education formats.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver instruction for introductory and intermediate Logistics courses.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to student learning and engagement, incorporating technology into the educational experience.
  • Adhere to approved syllabi and instructional materials while teaching assigned courses.
  • Maintain accurate student records in line with institutional requirements.
  • Submit necessary reports to the Admissions & Records Office punctually.
  • Guide and assess student learning experiences according to established curricula and procedures.
  • Provide academic counseling and support to students as needed.

All faculty members are expected to be present on campus for 35 hours weekly and engage in professional development, departmental meetings, commencement activities, and other responsibilities as outlined in the Faculty Workload and Responsibilities Policy.

Instructors may also be tasked with teaching during evenings, weekends, summers, online, hybrid, and dual credit courses across various campuses.


Additional Responsibilities:
  • Engage in campus committees as required.
  • Promote and recruit for the Logistics program.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, both on-campus and externally.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of three years of related, non-teaching experience in Logistics.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in online teaching and relevant certification.
  • Familiarity with Blackboard Learning Management System.
