About the Position:


Are you an experienced Aerospace Materials Engineer with a talent for addressing intricate engineering problems? Become a vital member of our innovative team at PDS Tech, where you will spearhead essential projects, create pioneering solutions, and propel advancements in the aerospace sector.

In this position, you will oversee significant engineering initiatives, making influential decisions and recommendations that will shape our engineering endeavors.

Key Duties:
Oversee and direct complex engineering projects within defined parameters.

Make critical technical choices that have substantial effects on engineering operations.

Utilize advanced engineering principles and creative concepts to enhance product quality, cost efficiency, and scheduling.

Independently devise improved methodologies and processes.

Establish benchmarks and guidelines for various engineering tasks.

Design and execute investigations in key program areas where engineering precedents are absent.

Assess non-conforming products by analyzing their impact on structural integrity, functionality, and other essential aspects.

What We Seek:
Experience: A minimum of 13 years in a specialized technical field or 15 years in broader engineering roles, complemented by a Bachelor's degree. Advanced degrees may provide additional experience credits.

Skills:
Expertise in MRB/Liaison roles, especially concerning non-conformances in aerospace components. Familiarity with diverse materials (metallic and non-metallic), production timelines, and engineering challenges.

Technical Proficiency:
Knowledge of CAD tools (Catia V5), aerospace materials, manufacturing techniques, GD&T, and SPC. Experience with continuous improvement practices (Lean, Six Sigma) is advantageous.

Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to engage effectively with inspectors, technicians, and management.

Preferred Qualifications:

MRB experience with metal bonding, metal forming, and NDT; familiarity with aeronautical materials and general aviation design; experience in customer/supplier interactions.

Compensation:
$81.75 per hour
