Key Responsibilities:

Role Overview:


The Events Coordinator will collaborate closely with the Arts & Culture Team and the Special Needs Team, providing support in various facets of event planning, membership management, registration, and administrative duties.

The events encompass a diverse range of activities throughout the year, including author discussions, film screenings, educational seminars, musical performances, and cultural festivals. These activities may take place in-person or online, occasionally requiring evening or weekend availability.

The Coordinator will play a vital role in member renewals, participant recruitment, event reporting, coordination, and execution.

Additionally, the Coordinator will assist individuals with event registrations over the phone, necessitating strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:
Respond to phone inquiries and manage events while delivering outstanding customer service to current, past, and prospective members and attendees.
Explore new venue options for events.
Manage volunteer confirmations and address inquiries as needed.
Oversee vendor relationships and logistics, including obtaining quotes and managing menus.
Prepare necessary materials for events.
Coordinate travel arrangements (airfare, hotel bookings, transportation, etc.) for speakers as required.
Engage with high-profile members and donors regarding upcoming events.
Post JCC events on various community calendars for promotional purposes.
Create compelling social media content for events.
Assist individuals with registration challenges, handle phone registrations, and troubleshoot technical issues.
Ensure that both JCC locations are equipped with appropriate marketing materials for upcoming events.
Schedule venue usage for on-site events and virtual meetings.
Check-in attendees for events both on-site and off-site.
Manage the film festival website.
Process cash/check payments on-site as necessary.
Prepare and submit payment requests to the Accounting department.
Create invoices for individuals, members, or organizations as required.
Track expenses using spreadsheet software.
Utilize CRM systems effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience & Skills:
At least 3 years of relevant experience is required.
A High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory; a College Degree is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential.
Demonstrated knowledge of Jewish history, traditions, and culture is preferred.
Comfortable making cold calls to potential participants.
Strong writing skills are necessary.
Ability to engage with other team members effectively.
Flexibility in work hours and locations (i.e., ability to work at different campuses) is required, including evenings and weekends.
Exceptional attention to detail, customer service abilities, and a positive attitude are essential.
A willingness to learn and adapt to the culture at the Mandel JCC is important.
Strong interpersonal skills - approachable, good listener, and empathetic.

Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities.

Capability to collaborate with agency staff to foster a supportive team environment and maintain professional relationships with clients, vendors, and external contacts.

Reliable transportation is necessary, with the ability to work at various JCC locations or off-site.
Experience with CRM systems and online event platforms is advantageous.

Compensation:
$35,000 - $45,000
