Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

This role is fundamentally responsible for delivering leadership and support across all facets of Manufacturing as dictated by Cirtec's operational requirements. It involves collaborating with other company executives to facilitate the achievement of overarching corporate goals and objectives. The position demands effective leadership to meet business targets, including cost management, quality assurance, productivity enhancement, safety compliance, and optimal resource utilization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure adherence to the Company's quality management system in alignment with both company and client specifications.
  • Maintain compliance with all other Company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Plan and organize work assignments to fulfill customer obligations, including strategic scheduling of overtime and leave.
  • Assess ongoing employee resource needs based on production timelines, customer commitments, and workforce utilization metrics.
  • Guarantee safe working practices and maintain cleanliness in accordance with company policy and relevant regulations.
  • Utilize the company ERP system to oversee shop floor transactions for accuracy and completeness.
  • Engage with technical resources as necessary to obtain required support.
  • Conduct interviews and recommend candidates for employment. Identify and facilitate orientation, training, and development to ensure a skilled workforce.
  • Effectively manage and assess employee performance. Inspire, coach, counsel, and discipline employees to maximize organizational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with product development and manufacturing transfer teams to guide design for manufacturability, process development, and planning for production flow and tools suitable for projected volumes.
  • Communicate effectively with all functional managers regarding product and process designs, material utilization, quality protocols, cross-functional teams, materials management, and facility layouts.
  • Take a proactive role in continuous improvement initiatives, implementing necessary changes to enhance processes, workflows, facilities, equipment, and employee productivity to drive improved service outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and teamwork.
  • Support Quality during audits conducted by FDA, ISO, and customers.
  • Meet quality deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Travel as necessary to support business operations.
  • Adhere to company, quality, and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of managerial experience, or an Associate's degree with 4 years of supervisory experience, or 7 years of supervisory experience in a related field.
  • Experience in Medical Device manufacturing or other highly regulated industries with over 10 years of experience.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Excellent project management capabilities.
  • Proven success in training employees on productivity and safety.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Ability to coach and mentor employees both individually and in groups.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and interpreting technical specifications and illustrations.
  • Understanding and application of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma for process enhancement and problem resolution. Six Sigma Certification is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of ERP/MRP business functions.
  • Working knowledge of finance related to budgeting, cost accounting, and variance analysis.
  • Computer literate (MS Office Suite).
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
