JOB SUMMARY

This role is primarily accountable for delivering leadership and support across all facets of Manufacturing, aligned with Cirtec's business objectives. The Operations Manager collaborates with other company directors to facilitate the attainment of overarching company goals and objectives. This position is crucial for steering business outcomes, encompassing cost efficiency, quality assurance, productivity enhancement, safety compliance, and optimal resource management.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure adherence to the company's quality system in line with both company and customer specifications.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Plan and allocate work assignments to fulfill customer commitments, including effective management of overtime and leave.
  • Assess ongoing employee resource needs based on production timelines and customer obligations.
  • Guarantee safe work practices and maintain a clean work environment in accordance with company policy and regulatory standards.
  • Utilize the company ERP system to oversee shop floor transactions for accuracy and completeness.
  • Engage with technical resources as necessary for support.
  • Conduct interviews and recommend candidates for employment, ensuring proper orientation and training for a competent workforce.
  • Effectively manage and assess employee performance, providing motivation, coaching, and necessary disciplinary actions to enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with product development and manufacturing transfer teams to guide design for manufacturability and process planning.
  • Communicate efficiently with all functional managers regarding product and process designs, material utilization, quality protocols, and facility layouts.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, implementing changes to enhance processes, workflows, and overall operational effectiveness.
  • Promote a culture of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and teamwork.
  • Support Quality during audits by regulatory bodies and customers.
  • Meet quality deliverables promptly.
  • Travel as necessary to support business functions.
  • Adhere to company, quality, and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of managerial experience, or an Associate's degree with 4 years of supervisory experience, or 7 years of supervisory experience in a related field.
  • Experience in Medical Device manufacturing or other highly regulated industries with over 10 years of experience.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Excellent project management capabilities.
  • Proven success in training employees on productivity and safety.
  • Familiarity with OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Able to coach and mentor employees individually and in groups.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and interpreting technical specifications.
  • Understanding and application of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP business functions.
  • Working knowledge of financial principles related to budgeting, cost accounting, and variance analysis.
  • Computer literate, particularly in MS Office Suite.
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

The work is conducted in a manufacturing setting, with a moderate noise level typical of such environments.
