Position Overview:


The Beverage Operations Leader plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily beverage functions within the resort, which encompasses all service bars, outlet bars, and beverage stations on the floor.

This position ensures adherence to all resort policies, departmental guidelines, and regulatory requirements. The leader will monitor and guide all beverage areas and team members throughout their shift.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure strict compliance with all liquor laws and regulations, ensuring staff enforcement at all times.
- Handle all administrative tasks and oversee daily operations in the absence of the Beverage Manager.

- Provide outstanding guest service, characterized by promptness, friendliness, professionalism, and responsiveness, while adhering to the service standards set by Food & Beverage management.

- Collaborate with beverage management to create effective work schedules for all beverage personnel, including Beverage Supervisors, to maximize productivity.

- Conduct weekly meetings with beverage management to formulate revenue and cost forecasts for both weekly and monthly periods.
- Assist in maintaining monthly inventory and managing all necessary equipment for departmental operations.
- Review controls to ensure that costs align with forecasts.
- Perform daily inspections of all beverage service bars and floor outlets, documenting any deficiencies.
- Work alongside other departments to ensure the proper implementation of liquor service policies.
- Monitor beverage activities throughout the establishment to guarantee compliance with all liquor laws.
- Supervise staff and assist with disciplinary measures and other HR-related tasks.
- Aid in the selection, development, training, and coaching of beverage personnel.
- Ensure that beverage staff adhere to grooming and uniform standards.
- Promote a safe working environment for all team members.
- Carry out other job-related responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED Certification required.
- Minimum of two years of experience in the Food & Beverage sector.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations, rules, procedures, and administration concerning beverage operations.
- Exceptional guest service skills with the ability to upsell.
- Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating patience and tact.
- Ability to effectively lead and collaborate within a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and conversational skills.

- Capability to read manuals, event orders, preparation lists, memos, and other written communications; able to write instructions, performance evaluations, etc.; able to lead team meetings, provide summaries to management, and communicate effectively with guests.

- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, email, internet, and point-of-sale systems (experience with Infogenesis is preferred).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
- Ability to establish and sustain effective working relationships with team members and guests.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail; ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
- Ability to remain composed during high-volume periods.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, special events, and holidays.

- Ability to uphold departmental and company standards of etiquette and guest service while interacting with guests and team members.

- Must adhere to safety guidelines and grooming standards.
- Must maintain uniforms, utilizing proper washing and ironing techniques, if applicable.
- Must obtain a food handler card within 30 days of employment.

- Must complete mandatory alcohol sales and handling training within 30 days of employment and undergo retraining every two years.

- Must be at least 21 years of age to sell or serve distilled spirits.

- Team members under 21 but at least 18 years of age may sell or serve beer and wine in non-gaming areas.

- Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
- Native American hiring preference applies.
