Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly and attending to their needs promptly and professionally.
- Take and serve food and beverage orders efficiently, ensuring timely delivery to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Complete all necessary opening, running, and closing tasks to maintain operational efficiency.
- Gain familiarity with menu items and the ordering process to assist guests effectively.
- Adhere to Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) guidelines, monitoring guests for signs of intoxication and reporting concerns to management.
- Verify the legal drinking age of guests ordering alcoholic beverages, following established protocols.
- Process orders for alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards.
- Follow cash handling procedures accurately for transactions and gratuities.
- Address and resolve guest concerns in alignment with company policies, involving management when necessary.
- Provide information about amenities, events, and promotions to enhance the guest experience.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and issue receipts to guests as required.
- Utilize the point-of-sale system to calculate bills and itemize charges accurately.
- Complete end-of-shift cash handling duties, including settling cash banks and organizing necessary documentation for audits.
- Foster a collaborative work environment that embodies teamwork, respect, and the core values of Chumash Enterprises.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and operations.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Completion of RBS training and certification within the specified timeframe.
- Successful completion of Serv Safe certification and Food Handlers training within the initial employment period.
- Prior experience in a fine dining setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of beverage offerings and service techniques, with a preference for wine pairing expertise.
- Basic proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and email.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must obtain and maintain a Gaming License as required by the Tribal Gaming Agency.
- Preference may be given to Native American applicants.
