About the Role: The Elite Beverage Operations Manager is tasked with delivering outstanding service to guests in premium sections where alcoholic beverages are served. This role involves overseeing the management and execution of the wine pouring and cocktail sampling programs during events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the aesthetics and logistics of the wine and cocktail programs.
  • Ensure all staff, including vintners and bar personnel, are knowledgeable and provide excellent guest service.
  • Coordinate with vintners and sponsors from initial contact through event execution.
  • Foster positive relationships with vintners, sponsors, guests, and team members.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Compass Group, exemplifying top-tier hospitality standards.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of beverages, including liquors, beers, and wines.
  • Maintain adherence to location appearance and operational guidelines.
  • Provide prompt and friendly service while managing event logistics.
  • Assist management with various operational needs and respond to inquiries from guests and sponsors.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and reports related to events.
  • Uphold company policies and standards, reporting any infractions to management.

Control Measures:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas.
  • Implement safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service and proper inventory management.
  • Communicate any guest or operational issues to management.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise vintners and sponsorship representatives during events.
  • Encourage a collaborative and respectful work environment.
  • Assist team members as needed to enhance productivity and morale.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of required alcohol service training.
  • Strong knowledge of wines; introductory sommelier certification is preferred.
  • Experience in a leadership role within the beverage industry is essential.
  • Ability to lift and transport up to 40 lbs.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
