- Senior Management Analyst
Your duties will include directing, coordinating, and executing management research projects, which encompass:
- Reviewing budget requests and conducting cost-benefit analyses.
- Making financial forecasts and estimating expenditures.
- Evaluating City programs and recommending cost-effective work methods.
- Determining appropriate staffing levels to enhance operational efficiency.
- Developing comprehensive research reports and presenting findings to management and other stakeholders.
- Analyzing capital improvement projects and grants.
NOTES:
- Eligible benefitted employees will be automatically enrolled in the San Diego City Employees Retirement System (SDCERS).
- Supervising Management Analysts typically exercise a significant amount of initiative and independent judgment in evaluating issues, planning studies, conducting research, analyzing data, identifying problems, determining solutions, and making appropriate recommendations.
To qualify, you must meet the following requirements on the date you apply:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education (i.e., minimum completed units = 120 semester/180 quarter).
EXPERIENCE: Four years of full-time experience performing professional-level budgetary and fiscal analysis work. Experience must include professional-level duties in at least ONE of the following areas:
- BUDGETARY/FISCAL ANALYSIS: Collecting and analyzing data for financial projections and budget justifications; conducting fiscal projects; implementing and monitoring budgets; and developing reports to present findings and recommendations.
- ADMINISTRATIVE/ORGANIZATIONAL ANALYSIS: Collecting and analyzing management data; conducting administrative projects; analyzing organizational processes; and developing reports to present findings and recommendations.
- Proof of degree/transcripts, if utilized to meet the minimum requirements.
- For City of San Diego employees, proof of Out-of-Class Assignment (OCA), if utilized to meet the minimum requirements.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
