Position Overview: This is a contract role designed for a skilled Senior Systems Analyst (SA) who will engage in a variety of projects aimed at enhancing the development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of information systems applications. The SA will ensure that these applications align with client requirements in a cost-effective manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with end users to ascertain business needs, address technical challenges, and identify training requirements; evaluate existing business processes and propose optimal solutions.
- Assist users in recognizing workflow and procedural modifications to boost operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Examine requests for new or existing software applications through documented workflows, functional specifications, and an understanding of current system capabilities.
- Present innovative proposals that include feasibility studies, cost-benefit assessments, risk evaluations, and documentation of both functional and technical specifications to fulfill user requirements.
- Partner with Procurement to formulate Requests for Proposals (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI), and Requests for Qualifications (RFQ); engage in software and vendor selection processes while overseeing external vendor activities.
- Conduct testing of new and modified configurations, programs, and interfaces to verify accuracy and efficiency; design and implement test plans and scenarios.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues, maintaining communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate user training sessions on applications; create training materials and manuals to support learning.
- Generate necessary reports, extraction programs, and update rules as dictated by user requirements.
- Implement and maintain current versions of SAP Business Warehouse.
- Collaborate with the Security team to establish appropriate access roles for SAP and other applications, potentially conducting Segregation of Duty (SOD) analyses for user roles.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Senior Business Systems Analyst or Systems Analyst.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP applications is preferred.
- Proficient in systems analysis and design, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and quality assurance testing.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems Management, or a related field is required.
