Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager - Physician Office Lab to join our Abbott Rapid Diagnostic business. This role will cover northern California and northern Nevada, with the ideal candidate based in San Francisco, Sacramento, or Pleasanton.

The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving established sales goals for our Infectious Disease portfolio. This will involve identifying sales opportunities, establishing and maintaining business and client relationships, and implementing sales, marketing, and national account programs as directed by management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and capitalize on sales opportunities to achieve established sales goals.
  • Establish and maintain strong business and client relationships to drive sales growth.
  • Develop and implement sales, marketing, and national account programs to support the company's overall strategic plan.
  • Build and maintain a strong competitive product knowledge to effectively represent Abbott's products in the marketplace.
  • Contribute to the region's growth by understanding the Account Manager's objectives and goals.
  • Assist with the management of complex sales by providing technical expertise.
  • Meet established sales goals and objectives while maintaining territory budget.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage the sales performance of the distributor sales force(s) in the assigned territory.
  • Support distribution partners in the sale of products, including training, sales meetings, technical expertise, and marketing support.
  • Act as a resource for contract negotiation, pricing, proposal, bid preparation, and customer follow-ups.
  • Identify customer issues and resolve sales-related difficulties.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, business management, or life science.
  • 6+ years of experience in medical diagnostics or business-to-business sales.
  • Understanding and experience working with distribution partners.
  • Strong knowledge of sales techniques and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability in execution of sales strategies.
  • Proven successful POC/Capital Equipment sales experience.
What We Offer

At Abbott Laboratories, we offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary of $64,000.00 - $128,000.00, depending on location. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical coverage, retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and education benefits.
