Position Title: Training and Compliance Specialist

Employment Type: Full Time | 8am-5pm

Compensation: $22-$24/hour

Organization: Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is seeking a dedicated Training and Compliance Specialist for its program focused on supporting victims of domestic violence. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Quality Performance and Improvement to design relevant training programs across all departments.
  • Work with the Director of Operations to establish training frameworks, curricula, and schedules for current employees, including the coordination of guest speakers for staff meetings.
  • Partner with the Director of Operations and the Executive Director to develop training content for hotline operators and resource specialists, conducting necessary training sessions.
  • Support staff in enhancing their skills and understanding of new or revised policies.
  • Organize and manage training sessions, including inviting participants, informing management, following up with attendees, and confirming final attendance lists.
  • Oversee actions for staff who miss scheduled training, which may involve rescheduling and notifying management of potential disciplinary actions.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of training materials to ensure compliance with established policies and practices.
  • Collaborate with leadership to create online training modules as required.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with program directors, managers, and staff across all Human Services programs.
  • Demonstrate expertise in developing, implementing, and assessing training initiatives aimed at promoting behavioral change and knowledge transfer.
  • Prepare and submit timely internal and external reports as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to responsibilities and include updates in monthly reports to the Director of Operations.
  • Adapt schedule as necessary to meet the needs of the program.
  • Be proficient in shelter operations and manage responsibilities during evening shifts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, understanding that this description outlines typical functions and is not exhaustive.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in education or a related social services field.
  • At least two years of training experience within health and human services.
  • A minimum of two years of experience delivering training to diverse groups.
  • Proficient in using computers, smartphones, tablets, and relevant software applications.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
