Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is seeking a dedicated Training and Compliance Specialist to enhance our programs aimed at supporting victims of domestic violence. With over four decades of service, our organization is committed to providing essential resources including emergency shelter, crisis hotlines, counseling, legal advocacy, and peer support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Quality Performance and Improvement to create relevant training materials for all departments.
  • Work alongside the Director of Operations to design training structures, curricula, and schedules for current employees, including organizing guest speakers for staff meetings.
  • Assist in developing training programs for 211 operators and hotline resource specialists in partnership with the Executive Director of 211.
  • Support staff in enhancing their skills and understanding of new or revised policies.
  • Coordinate and manage logistics for staff training sessions, ensuring all attendees are informed and prepared.
  • Monitor attendance and follow up with staff regarding training commitments, including rescheduling missed sessions as necessary.
  • Conduct audits and reviews of training materials to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Partner with leadership to design and implement online training modules as required.
  • Foster professional relationships with program directors, managers, and staff across all Human Services initiatives.
  • Demonstrate expertise in developing, executing, and assessing training programs and interventions that promote behavioral change.
  • Prepare and submit internal and external reports in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to training responsibilities and include updates in monthly reports.
  • Adapt schedule as needed to meet the demands of the program.
  • Engage in cross-training to gain proficiency in shelter operations and manage responsibilities during evening shifts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, recognizing that this job description serves as a general overview of responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in education or a related social services field.
  • At least two years of experience in training within health and human services.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in delivering training or presentations to diverse groups.
  • Proficient in using various technology tools including computers, smartphones, and relevant software applications.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
