Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)Mining and Environmental Compliance
- Oversees and submits necessary documentation to regulatory bodies to maintain compliance for both active and inactive mining locations.
- Collaborates with environmental consultants to complete and file wetland and zoning permits.
- Engages with governmental agencies regarding compliance matters.
- Offers technical guidance and recommendations for reclamation efforts at various sites.
- Facilitates agreements with neighboring landowners of mining sites.
- Assists in maintaining wildlife site certification and coordinates related events.
- Conducts short, medium, and long-term mine planning initiatives.
- Surveys, designs, and plans for land clearing and site preparation.
- Coordinates and executes exploration projects for both existing and new operations.
- Supports property acquisition and sales activities.
- Participates in inventory management tasks, including aerial surveys and volume assessments.
- Collaborates with management and site professionals on various issues as required.
- Adheres strictly to safety protocols as outlined in the safety manual.
- Complies with company policies and the code of conduct.

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following:
- A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in engineering, geology, earth sciences, or a related field is preferred; or two to four years of relevant experience or training.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CAD software is advantageous.
Ability to interpret safety regulations, operational instructions, and procedural manuals. Capable of writing routine reports and communicating effectively with team members.
Mathematical Skills:Competence in basic arithmetic operations and the ability to analyze rates, ratios, and percentages.
Reasoning Ability:Ability to tackle practical problems and interpret various forms of instructions.
Physical RequirementsThis role requires regular physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting over 25 pounds. The employee may be exposed to outdoor conditions and loud environments, necessitating protective equipment.
