Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance and Training Specialist to join our team at Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive training programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training Program Development: Collaborate with the Director of Quality Performance and Improvement to design and deliver training programs for all departments, ensuring consistency and relevance.
  • Curriculum Development: Work with the Director of Operations to create training structures, curricula, and schedules for current employees, including guest scheduling for staff meetings.
  • System Training: Develop curricula for 211 operators and hotline resource specialists and conduct training as needed, in collaboration with the Director of Operations and the Executive Director of 211.
  • Staff Development: Assist staff in improving existing skills and understanding of new or changing policies, ensuring a high level of proficiency and compliance.
  • Training Scheduling: Schedule and organize attendees for staff trainings, including invitations, follow-up, and confirmation of attendees.
  • Compliance Oversight: Perform periodic audits and reviews to ensure policies and documents presented in trainings are consistently implemented and updated.
  • Collaboration: Work with Human Services Leadership and VP of Programs to design online training as needed, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain professional relationships with Directors, Managers, and staff within all Human Services programs, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Reporting: Prepare internal and external reports in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and updated documentation on areas of responsibility, including monthly reports submitted to the Director of Operations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in education or a social services field.
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of previous training experience within health and human services programs, with a focus on compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Skills: Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines, and photocopiers, as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.
  • Certifications: Valid Ohio driver's license, access to reliable insured transportation, and ability to meet LSS insurance standards.
