Overview:

Act as the principal technical authority for various Business Intelligence (BI) initiatives with minimal oversight. Facilitate task coordination within the team and provide guidance on the design management, execution, and sustained operation of a holistic BI framework. A comprehensive understanding of all facets of BI solution design and construction is essential, including optimization, tuning, and data accessibility. The individual should be adept at rapid application development and skilled in formulating requirements and design specifications for both new and existing data models. Collaborate with end-users, managers, clients, and other stakeholders to evaluate and foster long-term strategic objectives for BI development. Aid in the selection of hardware and software solutions for the BI infrastructure. Lead the creation of logical and physical data models, as well as ETL development when necessary. The BI Consultant is also tasked with ensuring optimal BI availability through the design of data structures and thorough testing.

Project Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the technical lead in gathering, documenting, and translating business needs into BI applications. Demonstrate the ability to collect data, formulate action plans, resolve issues, or propose options swiftly.
  • Address daily business and information challenges related to BI applications promptly and accurately, ensuring project completion within budget and deadlines.
  • Exhibit expertise in adhering to the BI project methodology, offering enhancements as appropriate. Develop scope documents, project plans, and issue lists in alignment with the project methodology.
  • Secure client approvals as necessary. Demonstrate proficiency in diagramming data and process flows as part of the BI project documentation. Assist and mentor other IT team members regarding project methodology, implementation planning, and development.
  • Continuously showcase proficiency in utilizing our business intelligence tools.
  • Verify test data to ensure data reliability and integrity within and between applications for BI/Data Warehouse applications.
  • Lead integration efforts for merging BI platforms with enterprise systems and applications. Assist in designing data models and data warehouse structures to ensure compatibility with BI solutions.
  • Highly organized, capable of managing multiple high-profile projects and tasks concurrently in a demanding and complex environment.
  • Collaborate with end users and Business Technology Consultants (BTCs) to ensure alignment between BI development and business requirements.
Required Experience:
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) effectively, courteously, and professionally with clients, vendors, and all levels of management and staff.
  • Extensive knowledge of clinical and financial terminology and Healthcare IT business processes. Strong project management skills and experience across all stages of the development life cycle are required.
  • Proven capability to manage multiple high-level projects simultaneously.
