WuXi AppTec is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director Business Development to join our team. As a key member of our Business Development team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and identifying new business opportunities in the Western region.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and qualify potential business prospects in the region, including pharma, biotech, VC, non-profits, research institutes, agricultural, and veterinary sciences.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders to drive business growth.
- Collaborate with our technical team to provide solutions to clients and drive sales growth.
- Support proposal writing and negotiation to close contracts.
- Represent WuXi AppTec at various meetings and conferences to promote our services and build relationships with stakeholders.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in life sciences (preferably in chemistry) with 7+ years of industrial experience and 5+ years of business development experience.
- Experience in CRO is a plus.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of discovery leading to candidate selection and preclinical development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
WuXi AppTec offers a competitive salary range of $140,492 - $196,691, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
