Shift Supervisor

Grand Fitness Mgmt, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Leader to join our team. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for supervising fellow coworkers, monitoring their performance, and ensuring they comply with company and safety policies.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Organize shift schedules for team members
- Monitor attendance, tardiness, and time off
- Assign duties to specific employees based on role and skills
- Supervise employees and assist with tasks as necessary
- Supervise performance and share feedback with upper management and team members
- Employee Development
- Train new and current team members on tasks
- Develop and implement training programs to improve employee skills and knowledge
- Customer Service
- Handle customer issues and manage conflicts
- Provide exceptional customer service to members and guests
- Operations and Maintenance
- Manage club cleanliness and maintenance to ensure all aspects of the club are in like-new condition
- Ensure compliance with company policies and health, safety, and employment standards
- Performance Metrics
- Drive sales and member experience metrics such as BCM%, EFT growth, upgrades to memberships, saving cancels, avoid accounts going into RFC, merchandise sales, use of trainers, social reviews, NPS surveys, and BER results
Shift Leaders typically must have experience working as a team member in the industry or with our PF team. For internal promotions, candidates must have at least 3 months of employment with us and zero performance counseling records for the past 6 months. Shift Leaders need to be available to work at least 24 hours per week with weekend availability.
Preferred Qualifications- High school diploma or GED
- Associate degree in business administration or management
- Bachelor's degree in business or an industry-related field
- On-the-job training to better transition into the role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Leadership skills like decision-making, motivation, and goal-setting
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Exceptional organization and time management abilities
- Conflict resolution skills
- Customer service skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively
- In-depth industry knowledge
- Understanding of relevant health and safety regulations
- Comfortable with workplace technology like billing, contracts, POS functions, reporting, registers, scheduling, and inventory management
- Basic math skills
