Role Summary:
The Clinical Nurse Manager is ultimately accountable for the comprehensive operation of the designated departments, focusing on the coordination of clinical care delivery, staffing, and physician satisfaction. Key responsibilities include:

  • Meeting budget expectations and achieving cost targets.
  • Monitoring staff satisfaction through turnover rates and annual employee surveys.
  • Enhancing patient satisfaction as indicated by unit performance scores.
  • Facilitating unit staff meetings and management functions, including employee counseling and attendance monitoring.
  • Leading and participating in teams and committees aimed at improving organizational outcomes and operational excellence.
  • Ensuring compliance with attendance policies and overseeing daily staffing to maintain safe patient care ratios.
  • Supporting ongoing clinical skills development for all assigned units and providing clinical care during acute needs.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Associate's Degree: Required
  • Bachelor's Degree: Preferred
  • 3-5 years of recent experience in surgical or procedural care within a hospital setting: Required

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Registered Nurse License, State of California: Required
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association: Required

Organizational Standards:
Adventist Health prioritizes the safety and wellbeing of our associates and patients. Therefore, all associates are required to receive all necessary vaccinations, including, but not limited to, measles, mumps, flu (seasonally available), and COVID-19 vaccine (as mandated in CA, HI, and OR), as a condition of employment, with annual updates thereafter. Work Schedule:
8-hour shifts, totaling 40 hours weekly, equating to 80 hours per pay period.
