Position: Risk and Reliability Engineer

Location:
Hybrid role with flexibility for remote work.

The objective of this role is to promote, sell, and implement technical advisory services for early-stage energy projects across North America, focusing particularly on hydrogen and innovative energy solutions.

The services provided encompass feasibility assessments, design evaluations, and comprehensive risk, reliability, and safety analyses for production facilities and plants. This position will involve close collaboration with senior management in Business Development for Energy and Operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with experts within the Bureau Veritas network to identify potential opportunities, propose technical solutions, and deliver risk and reliability engineering services.
- Provide technical sales support through client interactions and management of proposals, including preparation and review of project opportunities.
- Identify and coordinate the enhancement of Bureau Veritas services to optimize client engagement, working closely with sales and operations teams across various sectors.
- Enhance Bureau Veritas' capabilities to implement innovative strategies for minimizing and mitigating client risks.
- Gather design and analytical data from clients and compile it into foundational assumptions for analysis models.
- Conduct analyses using relevant software tools on the appropriate models.
- Effectively communicate analysis findings through presentations and detailed reports.
Performance Expectations:
- Achieve strategic goals set by company leadership.
- Assist in developing and executing strategic account plans to fulfill client requirements.
- Deliver timely and precise results for client projects.
- Lead and expand Bureau Veritas' technical support during the early stages of client projects.
Organizational Structure:
- Reports to the Director of Technical Services.

- Collaborates with the VP of Business Development on proposal preparation for new opportunities, utilizing engineering support during the initial project phases.

- Works closely with global technical centers and business lines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related fields).

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk and reliability engineering, with knowledge of failure modes and criticality analysis (FMECA), reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) analysis, hazard identification and operability studies (HAZID/HAZOP), quantitative risk analysis (QRA), safety integrity level (SIL) assessments, and risk-based inspections (RBI).

- Experience with hydrogen or other emerging energy projects is preferred.
- Background in EPC, O&M, or project development within energy production.
- Strong communication skills to present analysis results to diverse audiences and provide sound recommendations.
- Project management skills to lead and engage in projects involving multiple consultants and deliverables.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
- A collaborative team player with a positive attitude.
