Position Summary:

The Senior Reliability Engineer will collaborate closely with the engineering, reliability, and manufacturing teams to enhance the reliability and performance of our HALO Rotary Steerable System (RSS). This role is pivotal in the introduction of innovative drilling technologies into the market.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify, review, assess, and resolve deficiencies in the HALO RSS.
  2. Integrate new design features and sustaining enhancements into the HALO RSS.
  3. Enhance the performance and capabilities of the HALO RSS.
  4. Utilize Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools for drafting and design purposes.
  5. Develop and maintain assembly, disassembly, and quality control manuals.
  6. Support the repair and maintenance of HALO RSS tools with expert guidance.
  7. Conduct root cause failure analysis to mitigate future failures.
  8. Monitor the performance of the HALO RSS tool fleet to evaluate corrective actions and identify early failure trends.
  9. Conduct testing to assess design upgrades for effectiveness and reliability.
  10. Provide technical analysis related to product performance and reliability.
  11. Evaluate cost-saving measures and their impact on tool reliability.
  12. Analyze failure trends to identify key reliability drivers and opportunities for improvement.
  13. Deliver detailed reliability statistics to support future sales and modeling initiatives.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree or its foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, along with a minimum of four years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, specifically with downhole tools and RSS systems. Proficiency in SAP, SolidWorks, or similar 3D CAD software, as well as experience in Failure/Root Cause Analysis, is essential. Occasional travel may be required.
