Job Summary

The Boys And Girls Club Of Burbank Inc is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to serve as a Gate Monitor. This role is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of students, staff, parents, and visitors by monitoring access to the school campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Secure the Entrance/Monitor Access: Ensure that the school entrance is secure and monitor access to the campus.
  • Oversee Student Entry and Exit: Oversee the entry and exit of students, parents, staff, and visitors.
  • Grant Access to Parents: Grant access to parents and ensure that they are aware of school policies and procedures.
  • Respond to Emergencies: Respond quickly and effectively in emergency protocols and evacuations.
  • Coordinate with Staff/Programs: Coordinate with staff and programs from the Boys And Girls Club Of Burbank Inc and other organizations to assist students leaving the school grounds.
  • Verify Identification and Permissions: Verify identification and permissions of students, parents, staff, and visitors to ensure that they have the necessary clearance to access the campus.
  • Provide Friendly Assistance: Provide friendly and helpful assistance to parents and students with directors and staff.
  • Enforce School Policies: Enforce school policies related to gate access and student pick-up/drop-off procedures.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate records of visitors and the purpose of their visit.
  • Maintain a Professional Demeanor: Maintain a professional and positive demeanor at all times.
  • Assume Other Duties: Assume other duties as assigned by the Unit Director.
Requirements
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, staff, and visitors.
  • Ability to Handle Stressful Situations: Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
  • Ability to Work Independently and Collaboratively: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in varying environments.
  • Ability to Multi-Task: Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Organization's Mission, Language, and Goals: Possess knowledge of the Boys And Girls Club Of Burbank Inc's mission, language, and goals.
  • Ability to Organize Time Well: Ability to organize time well to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Reliable Means of Transportation: Possess a reliable means of transportation to travel to and from the school campus.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification: Possess CPR/First Aid certification.
