Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Join nCino, a leader in cloud banking, as we seek a talented Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer. In this pivotal role, you will be an integral part of a dynamic cloud infrastructure team dedicated to enhancing the nCino Mortgage platform. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in cloud infrastructure, with expertise in AWS services, Kubernetes, CI/CD, containerization, and contemporary software development practices, thriving in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gain in-depth knowledge of the nCino Mortgage platform and its underlying infrastructure.
  • Actively engage as a senior contributor within the cloud infrastructure team.
  • Independently tackle complex technical challenges critical to the business.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews, fostering growth among junior team members.
  • Assist in establishing new standards and processes.
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of cross-team infrastructure projects.
  • Enhance understanding of the business domain and infrastructure design for the nCino Mortgage application among developers.
  • Contribute to the development of technical strategies for integrating new technologies into nCino products.
  • Serve as a resource for knowledge regarding the technologies utilized by nCino (cloud services, tools, frameworks, etc.).
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across all engineering teams.
  • Provide technical guidance to other areas, sharing both general and specific product knowledge.
  • Engage with customers as necessary to support technical discussions.
  • Mentor fellow developers, encouraging them to mentor others.
  • Be a supportive team member, contributing effectively, assisting others, and adapting to evolving product requirements.
Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience, or a combination of experience, education, and exceptional performance.
  • Expertise in at least one cloud platform language (AWS preferred).
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud infrastructure design and development.
  • Proven ability to create enterprise-scale application designs using established industry patterns and best practices.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Desired:
  • Experience with DevOps methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes.
  • A passion for application development.
