Job Overview

Weave is seeking a skilled VoIP Solutions Engineer with extensive experience in advanced communication technologies and cloud-based systems. This role requires proficiency in tools such as Kamailio, RTPengine, and FreeSWITCH, along with a solid understanding of DevOps methodologies and Google Cloud services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee a distributed cloud-based VoIP infrastructure.
  • Enhance and troubleshoot FreeSWITCH and Kamailio setups for optimal performance and dependability.
  • Design, implement, test, and maintain services that support the voice platform.
  • Monitor and evaluate VoIP network performance, identifying enhancement opportunities and executing solutions to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Diagnose and resolve VoIP-related challenges, including call quality issues, connectivity problems, and system failures.
  • Create microservices and containers using Golang.
  • Deploy services within Kubernetes environments.
  • Administer and configure Kamailio and FreeSWITCH instances.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience as a VoIP network engineer.
  • Familiarity with VoIP applications such as Kamailio, OpenSIPS, FreeSWITCH, RTPEngine, and Asterisk.
  • Experience with diagnostic tools like Wireshark, sngrep, and Homer.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of TCP/IP networks, firewalls, and associated protocols (SIP, RTP, RTCP, TLS, ICE, STUN, TURN, WebRTC).
  • Proficiency in a major programming language such as Go, Java, or C.
  • Experience with scripting languages including Python, Bash, and LUA.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools for managing and automating cloud infrastructure, such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Ability to adapt and learn new technologies and tools quickly.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong self-motivation and direction.
  • Attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Over 5 years of experience in designing and supporting large-scale VoIP networks.
  • Certifications in Kamailio or OpenSIPS.
