Job Overview

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Thoroughly clean and maintain guest accommodations, including changing linens, emptying waste receptacles, and polishing surfaces.
  • Sanitize bathrooms, ensuring all fixtures, floors, and surfaces are impeccably cleaned.
  • Collect and dispose of waste materials in accordance with established protocols.
  • Ensure that all lost and found items are properly tagged and reported to management for record-keeping.
  • Conduct inspections of rooms to identify maintenance needs and verify cleaning completion.
  • Report any damages or issues with furnishings to the appropriate supervisory staff.
  • Utilize cleaning agents safely and effectively, adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Arrange furnishings and amenities according to established standards.
  • Restock housekeeping supplies as needed, including towels, toiletries, and bedding.
  • Perform dusting and vacuuming in line with operational standards.
  • Inspect guest rooms systematically, documenting completed tasks.
  • Replace towels and other linens as required.
  • Ensure proper placement of room accessories according to guidelines.
  • Operate light cleaning equipment as necessary.
  • Adhere to pet and smoke-free policies as directed by management.
  • Follow all safety and security protocols diligently.
  • Prioritize cleaning tasks based on guest needs and check-in schedules.
  • Complete special projects as assigned by management.
  • Conduct deep cleaning of assigned rooms annually as per schedule.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity is essential for performing various cleaning tasks.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Capability to navigate stairs and service elevators throughout the property.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent training.
  • Previous experience in housekeeping within a luxury hotel environment is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
  • Ability to perform various physical tasks, including lifting and bending.
  • Handle guests' personal items with care and discretion.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This role is primarily indoors, with exposure to cleaning chemicals and occasional interaction with pets.
