Position Overview:
The Provider Enrollment Coordinator plays a crucial role in the Provider Enrollment Department by executing administrative tasks, engaging in special projects, and performing general responsibilities as designated by the Supervisor. This position is integral in facilitating the collection and organization of essential provider enrollment documentation for billing purposes across various insurance carriers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of application packages for distribution.
  • Support the Provider Enrollment Specialist and Senior Provider Enrollment Specialist in assembling necessary paperwork for the issuance of provider identification numbers for healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with the Provider Enrollment team on projects, including new business initiatives and modifications in operations as mandated by insurance carriers or directed by the Supervisor.
  • Manage the receipt and distribution of all incoming correspondence from postal services and other TeamHealth locations.
  • Maintain organized records for both group and individual providers.
  • Prepare applications for provider number issuance, make copies, and send faxes as required.
  • Update provider information as assigned.
  • Prepare W-9 forms and related correspondence.
  • Assist the Supervisor in generating reports.
  • Input and communicate information into the IDX System and TeamWorks, including new provider entries and updates using the appropriate documentation.
  • Oversee Annual Disclosures.
  • Conduct research for Revalidations.
  • Perform payer research upon request.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Typing proficiency of 45-50 words per minute.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Solid decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Education: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • At least one year of experience in a professional environment with basic clerical skills, ideally within a medical or provider enrollment context.
