We are seeking an experienced Sales Account Manager to be based in Iowa and help expand our business throughout the state.
As a Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for promoting power transmission, conveyor belting, electric motor, automation, and industrial supply products from Baldwin.
You will identify target prospects, create strategic plans to turn prospects into customers, and build and sustain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Promoting power transmission, conveyor belting, electric motor, automation, and industrial supply products from Baldwin
- Recommending products and services with the best combination of performance and cost based on customer requirements
- Identifying target prospects and creating strategic plans to turn prospects into customers
- Building and sustaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships
- Providing best-in-class customer service and technical expertise
- Coordinating with product specialists and inside sales teams to efficiently manage current business and secure new business
- Maintaining professional working relationships with strategic suppliers to Baldwin
- Participating in company-sponsored sales and technical training sessions
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of 5 years of proven outside industrial sales experience with a tangible product
- Proven experience and success in developing new business, building repeat business, and managing a sales territory
- Established client relationships in the state of Iowa
- High School Diploma or GED; Preferred Bachelors' Degree in Engineering, Industrial Supply, or Business
- Strong desire to achieve and succeed
- Mechanical aptitude
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong computer skills
- Valid Driver's License and good driving record
