Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Scientist to lead our drug development efforts at Ordaos Bio. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for managing internal and external projects, developing and executing our drug discovery strategy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and develop novel protein therapeutics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Oversee the management of internal and external drug discovery and development projects, ensuring timely and effective execution.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement our drug discovery strategy, aligning with company goals and objectives.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including wet lab and AI/ML pipelines, to design and develop novel protein therapeutics.
  • Communication: Effectively document, track, and communicate scientific findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams.
Requirements
  • Education: PhD in protein biochemistry, protein engineering, pharmacology, or cell biology related field with at least 3 years of work experience outside academia.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in protein drug discovery and development, managing external collaborations, protein engineering, and animal studies.
  • Skills: Sound understanding of biophysical and biochemical methods for protein characterizations, innovator with track record in molecular design of biologics, and strong analytical skills.
  • Publications: Track record of scientific accomplishments demonstrated through publications in highly regarded journals and/or intellectual property generation.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead by influence, communicate across teams with diverse backgrounds, and demonstrate successful implementation of new ideas with calculated risk-taking.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Industry Experience: A minimum of 5 years of industry experience in biologics drug development is preferred.
  • Collaboration: Experience working with computational biologists, AI/ML scientists, and software engineers.
  • IND-Enabling Studies: Experience in IND-enabling studies.
