We are in search of a motivated and skilled Lead Research Scientist to become an integral part of our Neuroscience research division. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in vitro studies utilizing cell lines, primary neurons, and iPSC-derived neuronal and glial cultures.
  • Develop and implement biochemical and cell-based assays to aid in the validation of novel targets associated with Parkinson's disease.
  • Engage in collaboration with cellular and molecular biologists, in vivo pharmacologists, and medicinal chemists across various research locations.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior research associates and interns, fostering a cooperative and effective research atmosphere.
  • Stay informed on the latest developments in Parkinson's disease research by participating in relevant conferences and workshops.
  • Contribute to the creation of research publications, presentations, and grant proposals, highlighting the team's contributions to the scientific community.
  • Maintain meticulous and comprehensive documentation of experiments, outcomes, and methodologies in compliance with company standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Promote a culture of safety by adhering to laboratory protocols and advocating for best practices in line with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a Postdoctoral fellowship plus 7 years of experience; or a Ph.D. with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with 18 years of relevant experience; or a Bachelor's degree with 20 years of relevant experience in Neuroscience, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or Pharmacology.
  • Preferred experience in Parkinson's disease or related neurodegenerative research. Previous involvement in drug discovery is advantageous.
  • Expertise in cell culture techniques, particularly with primary neurons and glial cells. Familiarity with iPSC-derived cells and complex co-culture systems is a plus.
  • Proficient in standard techniques in cell biology, biochemistry, enzymology, and neuroscience, including confocal microscopy/high-content imaging, protein detection and quantification (such as ELISA, MSD), and enzyme kinetics.
  • Extensive laboratory research experience and a preference for a hands-on role within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.
  • Capability to independently design, execute, and analyze experiments.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities, complemented by a robust work ethic.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $134,000 to $146,300, commensurate with skills, competencies, and market demand for your expertise.
